Sarah and I had to work really had to tear ourselves away from this bunch of pups at the shelter – there’s just too many sweet, loving dogs! However, just since then about half have already found homes (huzzah!), so the moral of the story is: don’t wait to go visit if you’re thinking about it!
First up is Dottie, a super friendly Border Collie mix with a great smile. She loves belly rubs and kisses.
And there’s Eddie, a chill Chihuahua-Corgi mix (yes, really) and really loves people. His little underbite just cracks me up!
Joey is a super sweet Doxie, but he really hated and avoided my camera! The perfect Hollywood star-in-training.
Love that color fur, don’t you?
Little Miss Perla is just the friendliest little terrier mix! Just look at those cute ears!
Sandy reminds me of a gray version of Toto, don’t you think? Call me romantic but I think she has “old soul” eyes. She’s just a year old and loves having her ears scratched.
Last but not least are Cassidy and Tiger. These two lab mix siblings crack me up! They’re still young and rambunctious, but very loving and smart. They’re all about the kisses – even with each other! They’re incredibly bonded so they’ll need to find a home together. I can see them being the stars of any agility class you put them in!
Their excitement to be reunited was amazing. You can’t help but smile around these two!
Cassidy has the most amazing eyes…
And Tiger’s brindle coat is gorgeous!
After this Sarah and I tried to go meet up with our family and our own dogs for a trip to the dog beach, but unfortunately there wasn’t a parking spot to be found! Luckily the weather will stay pretty mild through November, I’m sure we’ll try again soon. :)
P.S. I’ve officially been working with the shelter for a year now! It’s been so incredibly rewarding and I can’t thank them enough for letting me do this.
