SBACC Adoptables :: February

For those of you who have already reached your allotted number of pets set by your significant other, I suggest you look away. Because there are some serious cuties at the Seal Beach Animal Care Center right now! I know I say it every time, but Sarah and I just talking about how crazy it is that we consistently see such wonderful temperaments from these resilient creatures – many of whom have every reason to be acting out.

At any rate, here’s some of the newer faces at the shelter. Please share with your friends if you know they’re looking!

First we have Gabby, a charming young Dachshund mix whose bestie Delilah recently went to a new home, so I’m hoping she’s not alone for long!

Kiwi and Frodo are two cutie pies who were found together, and because of their strong bond we’re really hoping they’ll go to the same home. They’re both just about a year and a half old and love walking and playing together! (Wouldn’t it be great if their new family renamed them Sam and Frodo? Any LOTR fans out there?)

Miss Maggie the boxer was used as a breeder dog in her former life, and it’s about time she had a turn being pampered. I think unflappable would be the word I would use for this sweetheart – she would be fantastic around kids, and she gets along well with other dogs too. I found myself picturing her as something similar to Nana in Peter Pan – can’t you just see it?

Last but not least is Rose the shih tzu, who I’m thinking may be mixed with schnauzer or something, because I don’t think I’ve ever seen an all-black shih tzu before! Anyway, Rose is just 10 months old and so well behaved!

She even got bored with me. :)

If your home is already occupied by little rascals, but you’d love to do more, the shelter is currently raising funds to make much-needed improvements to the dog facility now that the new cat facility has opened. No amount is too small!

Hope you all are having a wonderful week so far!
