The cuteness was out in full-force when Sarah and I went to the Seal Beach Animal Care Center last weekend. So many sweet and worthy dogs! That’s the hardest part of volunteering – not taking them all home with you!
First up is Cassie, who definitely wins for Best Smile. Such a sweetheart – and those spotted ears were cracking us up!
Then we worked with sweet Daisy, whom I had photographed previously. Unfortunately it turned out her new family couldn’t handle her and she was returned. But I spoke with a lovely volunteer who’s been working with her every morning to help gain her trust back, and she’s so well behaved and sweet tempered that I can’t imagine her being there much longer!
Next up is Fozzie, a young poodle mix who you’d never know came to the shelter with injuries! They think she was hit by a car, but she’s doing great and almost fully recovered. :)
Guinness is the sweetest little thing! He’s got a bit of a hitch in his giddyup, where he kinda hops his two back legs together. It turns out he’s actually missing a few vertebrae! But he still loves going on walks and is super social. And what a great name!
Kayla is a loving and gentle lab mix. She was just so happy to be outside and sniffing around! She’d be great for someone who loves going on walks or runs.
Next up is Mikey, who’s an awesome boxer mix. Just look at that smile! He’s definitely seen some action, but has a great temperament and sat very nicely for us. :) He just needs a bit more meat on his bones and he’ll be good to go!
Murphy is a calm terrier mix that has the most beautiful eye and fur color I’ve ever seen! It’s like dark caramel. He was such a good boy for us!
Last but not least is Tucker, an energetic Parson Terrier that is way more interested in the other dogs to play with than my camera. :) He even knows some tricks already!
If you or anybody you know is thinking of bringing home a new family member, look no further than the SBACC!
