Last weekend, on an usually hot Sunday afternoon, Sarah and I headed to the SBACC for another round of playing working with their newest residents. It was hard to leave, these cuties were all super affectionate!
First up is Wally, a friendly year-old dachshund mix. He likes laps.
He also gets along great with cats!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I’m a complete sucker for floppy ears. Just look at his!

Next up is Cinder, a sweetie of a lab mix. She’s got great energy, and she’s a new mama whose pups have all found homes. She and her roommate Grayson had been up playing in the grassy area where someone had filled up the wading pool, so please pardon the mud.![]()

What are your guesses? Maybe some German shepherd with those big pointy ears?

Then we have Grayson, Cinder’s roomie. He’s a Blue-Nosed Pit Bull Terrier – have you ever seen eyes like that? So gorgeous! For how young he is he’s incredibly well behaved and calm.

Miss Natasha is a gorgeous brindle-coated shepherd mix. She was so funny with that mournful look – totally contradicted her loving demeanor! This girl would be perfect for a family with young kids, she’s a total mother hen and very gentle.

Last but not least is the hambone of the bunch, McLovin. (Yes, really. You guys have all seen Superbad, right?) And his name really suits him – I hope whoever he goes home with keeps the name!

Check out that grin! Such a silly boy.![]()

Well, I want them all. What about you guys?
xo
P.S. Have you seen this photo essay on War Dogs? So fascinating, both the subject and the photography!

Beautiful pups! Cinder and Natasha really look like old souls, don’t they?
Natasha looks like suuuuch a sweetheart. And all the floppy ears! How adorable.
