On the last day of 2011, Sarah and I spent several quiet hours at the shelter working with an amazing group of dogs – seventeen total! I think that beats our last record. I’m so happy to say that the shelter had quite a few adopted last week (huzzah!), so I’m here to share those cuties that still need to find the right family. And when I say “cuties” I mean it – this bunch had me wishing I had more space at home!

First up is Cody, one of the most beautiful German shepherds I’ve ever seen! Maybe he has some Labrador in him to get that cream color? He’s just under a year old, so he’s still got some growing to do.
You guys know I’m a sucker for ears, and his were so funny standing straight up the whole time!
And then there’s Duchess, whose giant smile and easygoing behavior immediately made me think of the star of All Dogs Go To Heaven. (Where my 80s kids at?)
Eddie is a sweet little rat terrier who has a very Mona-Lisa-ish smile. So cute!
Little Miss Gaby has whiskers that curl like an old-timey mustache. Sarah and I couldn’t stop giggling about it! She’s just a year old and super cuddly. Her little face reminds me of a fennec fox.
The lovely Jake hypnotized me with those eyes. Amazing, right? He’s about a year old too, but super calm for how young he is.
Missy is just three months old, and the softest little wee thing! Such a sweet girl. She’s like a Muppet with those fuzzy ears!
Mister Pumpkin wasn’t a huge fan of my camera, but a little help from Sarah made it work.
He was way more interested in getting back to his roomie!
And finally, charming Rocco. He’s a big boy Boxer mix, super affectionate and great with other dogs too. Just look at that expression!
It’s after sessions like these that make me wish I had a huge farm where they could all come and live with me.
xoxo

Oh, it just breaks my heart to see all these lovely pups without wonderful homes. Like you, I want them all. Why can’t people spay and neuter their pets??? Awesome photos though.
