In April I finally decided to join in on an Instagram photo-a-day challenge that I’d seen floating around the interwebs. What I love about this monthly challenge, by Fat Mum Slim, is that there’s a theme each day. Having done other daily photo projects, I found I was really motivated by that extra challenge to work within the theme. It was so fun! Here’s a few of my favorites from the month. You can see the whole set here if you’re interested. I’m not doing May, but I’m pretty sure I’ll join in again this year!

April 1st – A very original self portrait in the (dirty) side mirror
April 2nd – Colour: strawberry blonde hair and mint green cardigan
April 4th – Someone who makes me happy: Dante!
April 9th – Younger me with my mom up in the mountains for a snow day
April 11th – Eating breakfast at my desk
April 12th – Crazy-eyed Dante on the stairs

April 16th – A riot of pink flowers, and Dante
April 21st – Bottle of my all-time favorite hand cream from Aveda, always by my bedside
April 24th – Something I’m grateful for? My mom!
April 25th – Looking down at my book (polish color is Essie’s To Buy or Not To Buy)
April 26th – Black and white of the back of The Night Owl, our new favorite coffee shop
April 28th – 1pm: mini carnations on the table at lunch
So do you guys like photo-a-day challenges? Link me up! Also, a sidenote – the last couple were taken and processed with the new VSCO Cam app, which you should go and get right now if you like iPhoneography as much as I do! The filters are gorgeous. Right now it’s only 99 cents, which is a super steal.
