The fresh feeling of a new year hasn’t gone away yet. Maybe that’s because I’ve been crossing lots of to-dos off my list, and doing more of the things I promised myself I would? Either way, I’m on the hunt for things that will help keep this renewed and happy feeling going strong for months to come. A bit materialistic? Sure. But you can’t ignore the fact that lovely surroundings help foster good vibes! And there’s nothing wrong with rewarding myself for committing to a long hike once a week, right?

Gettin’ More Sh*t Done

• Time To Get Stuff Done Mug, $20, by Kin Ship Press. A nice chunky mug that would bring a smile every morning.
• Abe Lincoln Quote, $25, by Mary Kate McDevitt. All her illustrations are so gorgeous, and I love how this quote still applies more than a century later.
• Be Awesome Today Dish, $25, by Mr Teacup. I just love the whimsy, and it uses my favorite word! Her work reminds me of Marc Johns.

Hiking Around More

• Vintage Lace Up Hiking Boots, $42, from Trust Fund 21. I love my classic Converse, but they have no more grip than ballet slippers.
• Native Braided Strap Backpack, $70, by Sara Bergman. So much cuter than my old Jansport.
• Vintage Wool Sage Wrap Sweater, $43, from Fishing For Lions. Hoping that winter weather returns…

Feeling Pretty More

• Sunday Best 60s Dress Set, $68, from The Paraders Vintage. You can’t go wrong with a classic sheath dress and jacket.
• Golden Gothic Leaves Earrings, $35, by Siren Jewels. These remind me of old Gothic cathedrals in England.
• Black and White Boat Print Dress, $48, from Prototype Design. This could be worn year-round here in SoCal just by swapping boots and sweater tights for sandals and sunglasses.

Playing Around with Photography More

• Travel Mug With Camera, $20, by Lenny Mud. Unfortunately this shop is on vacation indefinitely, so I might just have to make my own version…
• Working Vintage Argus 35mm Camera, $125, from Colour Vintage. I’ve seen some photogs really have fun with this little guy, so it might be time to try it out for myself!
• Make Magic Happen Polaroid Poster, $22, by Jan Skacelik (aka the Restyle Shop). I’ve got his awesome Empire Strikes Back print on my wall right now and I love that he lets you customize the background color! And this should be every photographer’s motto, yes?
