IGCA Rescue :: Pharaoh

Now that I’ve been working with shelters and rescue groups for nearly two years, I’ve unfortunately seen several cases of severe abuse and neglect. It’s an accepted part of the process. But Pharaoh’s story is just too heartbreaking for me to write about, so I’ll share what his foster mom said: “Every time I think I’ve seen the worst case, another one comes along.”

Pharaoh is an older gentleman that the IGCA pulled from a local shelter and put into a foster home. He has some trouble walking because he was so starved when they got him, he had lost most of his muscle mass. But after a couple weeks in a loving home, he’s gained back a lot of his weight and looks much much healthier! He’s such a sweet, affectionate guy I can’t imagine how anyone could do that to him. But now he’s in safe hands and looking for a new family!

Pharaoh isn’t up on the website yet, so if you’re interested you can contact Roxann, the local rep, at ub11214@yahoo.com. Or to see more pups available in California, click here. Here’s hoping he finds a new home soon!
